Mulcair says “carbon pricing” is the “only” way to start reducing green house gases…really…the carbon tax has been in place in Canada for over 7 years, longer in BC yet there has been “no” reduction in greenhouse gas emissions….the problem with politicians is that they don’t understand the economic argument for carbon pricing that to reduce emissions, you just can’t raise the price of carbon fuels and expect a reduction in emissions if “green alternatives” are not both readily available or cheap” ….I’m spending $3000 a year on carbon tax, sorry saving the carbon tax doesn’t give me the money to buy a $50, 000 EV….this is why other nations are focused on industrial reductions with regulations and incentives to adopt greener technologies…coal to LNG or nuclear with more wind solar as an example…the reality of domestic carbon taxes focused on individuals will never have an impact on emissions…Elon Musk has done more for the environment than any politician in Canada
