The fact that Thierry knows nothing about tiktok is pure legendary.
Again, his analysis come from deepest. He doesn't just talk

It's players like Osimhen that need praising and idolising. Pure character. Pure professional. No drama, carried on playing and scoring.

The thing is. It's disgusting on every level! But this is a man who led your team to their first title in 3 An absolute superstar and beast of a player

how henry juggle his coaching and pundit job at the same time, really impressive

The day he leaves napoli he will come out and speak about it, whilst he's there it's him respecting the fact he has a contract and loyalty to the fans. Deep down the guy knows he's been disrespect and you never allow it in a "joking" way so that goes to show the professionalism he has

The club taking the mick of their own player missing a penalty and mocking them, take out the racial aspect, wtf are these clowns in the social media side of the clubs thinking. Doesnt matter if the player was white or black, you are literally taking the piss out of them and its not funny in any way. I dont blame the player getting annoyed, he literally scored the goals that got them a title last season, his transfer whenever it happens will make the club a shed load of cash and this is how they think they should be treated??. This isnt about being woke or offended its about common sense and not doing it in the first place

I LOVE that Henry doesn't know or care what TikTok is.

If you look at the Italian press you will understand how Italians view the matter. Every single person (including Napoli fans) is belittling the situation calling it a “joke”. They truly do not understand, and I am becoming to realise they never will. Before you come at me, I am Afro Italian, born and raised in Italy therefore I do know the issues at stake

Let’s praise Oshimen for his character. His response was to take the pitch and score 👌 class act. He didn’t do a big interview or make a documentary just got on with his job and is dealing with it privately . What a man 💯

Every nano second that passes without a formal apology and explanation for the video, and utter unexplainable silence by his teammates and the team, the injustice prevails.

What's great about Henry's input is that he separates the different levels, like racism is surely a truth and headline, but there so much more wrong that hypothetically if it wasn't overtly racist it would still be grounds for this level of backlash. Just astoundingly bad.

Edit: heated comments! I’ll just reiterate my stance for my sake. The imagery of him “as a coconut” is inherently related to his race, there can be no denial of that. The question of racism lies in intent/purpose. The TikTok (not a tweet) is very clearly a negative portrayal of the person, to then add the race-related (really stupid) “joke” it can only really be interpreted one way. Personally, I don’t assume or cast the label of racist on the individual creator of the video, let alone Napoli and their production, I think it is a fair assessment to see the fault in an attempt to use a TikTok sound to be humorous and ending up harshly in line with a racist concept and not cast as harsh a personal judgement. Also to assert Henry is wrong for acknowledging what used to be a social safety net, (I know it’s hard for people to grasp these things) being a semi-violent response to a clear social foul, is so incredibly insulated and modern and wrong on so many levels, shut up.

Ted talk done

The fact that Henry doesn’t even know what Tik Tok is makes me love him even more.

I like how Carragher remained quiet mostly cause you can understand, but you can't relate.

Talk about past Napoli players who HAVE missed PENALTIES, INSIGNE, MERTENS, etc. This is a guy who gave his best last season, emerging the Calcio Serie top scorer. The fans no doubt love him.
As Micah rightly said, what will Legal matters do? Absolutely nothing. We sure haven't heard the last of this.

I agree with Richards "Victor Osimhen is their hero imagine how they would treat a (black/brown) normal person in the street. Richards is implying they would treat black/brown people worse. Terrible situation we are in the world we live in because of our colour.

Napoli were on fire on every level last season that they won the league. They were on their way to fighting for the champion's league, the lost control when OSIMEN got injured, meaning he was their savior, and now the club is against him. WHAT A SHAME.
