Retired trucker here. The truck was trying to let the skoolie pass. The skoolie was just dang lucky that trailer didn't blow a tire with him running that close to him.

Kevin I watched it again...look at how the Schoolie delays turning into exit.
Follows the trucker then abruptly exits ahead of you. That driver was deliberately trying to irritate the trucker.
What a fool!

Hi CVK!
My folks stayed in Quartzsite during the winter for 20 years. They really enjoyed it. Found lots of neat things to see in that area. I imagine that you will too, because you take the time to stop and appreciate the different types of beauty. Thanks for "taking us along with you."

It is dangerous out on the road. Too many people not watching what they are doing and others using their vehicle to make a point. I am glad you and the Woof pack are safe.

The bus is nuts. As a truck driver I deal with folks driving like that around me every day. I slow down and let the idiots go around. The risk you take is the idiot doing something even worse in front of you. It’s so dangerous out there for us truck drivers

Yes, I think the trucker was trying to get the bus to pass, trying to protect himself and that probably expensive freight on his truck. The trucker is paid to get the product from point A to point B safely, and that means protecting it from crazy drivers. Most truckers are professional, experienced drivers, and they just want to do their job safely.

I have an eight mile ride to my business, and the things I see during that short ride is just incredible. There's just no need for any of it.

They are driving that bus like a sports car. Insane! In a way, a blown tire on the truck could have wasted them away. I hope the skoolie sees this!

Momma said stupid is as stupid does. Nowhere does anybody need to be bad enough to where lives are put in danger. Tucker for President 2020🐶

That is just down right craziness! Thank goodness that rig didn’t flip itself when he went into the dirt shoulder! People are in a Hurry to get nowhere anymore! 😳 Safe Travels Kevin & Woof Pack... you are now in “my neck of the woods” 🌵 (and stay dry in our little rain storms⛈ )

Schoolie driving like it's I-85 through ATL at rush hour but you got the entire desert to enjoy and drive reasonably. Slow your roll but if it's an emergency use the four ways so others know. Stay safe everybody.

Damn. That Skoolie driver is in need of some safe driving education. He's gonna end up killing a innocent motorist

A trailer tire let go on the 53 footer that i was pulling once, the cap came off in one piece and in the process taking the mud flap and bracket along with it. But it was not over, after it proceeded to remove the offending mud flap, it flew into the air striking a van that was tailgating me.
I know it did damage to the van, but he never did stop. The only thing that i can think of why the driver didn't, was because he knew that he was going to be in big trouble for following way to close.

It damaged the vans grill, the windshield and a wiper arm, he didn't even stop, he just passed me as i was pulling over to a safe place on the side of the road.

Unfortunately i have witnessed events like that before, my answer was to just pull over, let them get down the road a little bit. That way it's less likely to be that i get mixed up with their soap opera that might happen later down the road.
That little thing has saved me almost a half a dozen times in the past.
You might be late getting there, but it beats the alternative of not getting there at all.

Drive safe everyone this holiday season. The life you save might just be your own.

I'm so glad you and the Woof Pack are safe. If either had caused an accident, y'all could have been injured too.

Common sense, a flower that don't grow in everybody's garden. Be safe my friend and big hugs!

It is good to mention things like this because we all need reminding not get behind the wheel when we are irritable. It carries over into our driving. Stay calm when you get angry. Life is a breath away from death.
