I fr thought this was like a trailer for chapter 4 the second I saw the notification

Certain it came to poppy naturally" my guess is that the prototype might've been stabbed in the back by Ludwig as a co-creator (but theory only works if #1 the prototype used to be human, and #2 if the prototype is narrating the videos) and the part of it coming to poppy naturally might be that chip we saw get put/taken from poppy. (Maybe it's a type of personality chip) And if it is then that would kinda explain the part in ch. 2 after poppy reunites with the characters at the train to give them the code.poppy's voice tone changed from ecstatic to a more emotionless tone

I believe the poem is referring to a martyr. The only character that can be considered a martyr is DogDay.

I find it very interesting that the narrator sounds very bitter about the fact that when the player character was given a chance to leave at the beginning of the game he didnt take it but then tried to leave when Poppy offered a way out

"what's left of her is his now" tells me that the narrator isn't the prototype but IS doctor Harley Sauer, still alive, watching over his "children".

"On felted feet" hints that it is a made of fiber. "with faded breath, sleep draws ever near" seems to hint that it is near on its end, and as seen on the last part of chapter 3, something bad happened to Kissy Missy. "But I'm not afraid of death over paths turning clear" this can possibly imply that it isn't afraid of death, or most likely to sacrifice its life to something that will bring good/clarity upon that path. If you think about what recently happened to kissy missy along with her siding with poppy and the player, then add that context to the poem, it seems like chapter 4 is hinting towards Kissy Missy being one of the major casts there, and possibly, her death.

The voice sounds like Harley Sawyer. AKA the cruel doctor in charge of Bigger Bodies who spoke to the Prototype in the log VHS found in Chapter 3 in the area you fight Catnap in. Could very well be The Prototype continuing to mimic his voice. Or could you imagine the possibility of him still being alive?

I think the poem could be about Catnap as he would be made of felt like the smiling critters and is associated with sleep, but he didn't seem afraid of death when the prototype eventually killed him. He almost seemed to accept it for the prototype's plan.

i think the prototype is not going to have his voice revealed until either 5 or 6 chapter of Poppy Playtime because he is just a hand and because of that he may have the voice of every monster we seen so far maybe tricking the player, or his voice may be a voice corrupted with all the other monsters into onto one voice, so if on chapter 4 trailer we should know more or either chapter 5. Hope this prediction helps :D

The Rhym itself sounds like it may be talking about Catnap, felted feet like the smiling critters and then the sleep with his mist. The fact he says he isn’t afraid of death brings to mind when he gave himself to the prototype to be killed
