Kawazu Bagatelle Park is the sister garden of Bagatelle Park in Paris.
Bagatelle Park in Paris hosts the Bagatelle International Competition of New Varieties of Roses, considered one of the most prestigious competitions in the world, every June.
I saw the original Rose Garden on YouTube, and it looks just like Kawazu Bagatelle Park.

Je suis française et je viens de découvrir avec vous la "soeur jumelle" de Bagatelle au Japon. Je n'en avais jamais entendu parler! 😊
Quand j'étais plus jeune, j'habitais Paris et j'allais très souvent à Bagatelle (j'étais même abonnée!), c'est un parc très cher à mon coeur. La roseraie de Kawazu est vraiment identique, le kiosque (gazebo) est exactement pareil, j'aimais beaucoup m'y asseoir. Sauf qu'à Bagatelle-Paris on voit la banlieue de Paris à l'horizon et ici on voit les belles montagnes japonaises...
L'orangerie aussi est totalement semblable.
A Bagatelle-Paris, il y a aussi un grand espace avec des iris de toutes couleurs, ils fleurissent quelques semaines avant les roses et c'est vraiment magnifique. C'est un parc immense avec également un espace "jardin à l'anglaise", un espace "jardin japonais" (!), un espace de grandes pelouses avec des bulbes qui fleurissent au début du printemps (jacinthes, jonquilles, etc...) et d'autres choses encore.
