They wanted to make their own story but didn't wanna create their own characters. They decided to take popular characters from a famous ip to attach their new narrative to which shows a lack of confidence in their own writing abilities that they didn't think they could make it with their own original characters. If they had just used original characters with everything else remaining the same i don't know if it would have been well received but it wouldn't have been as bad as it was.

We should get a live action Reach TV show...which could have a chance to be a prequal to Deliver hope, like showing what the team was like before Thom died...and maybe before Rosenda....therefore Emile would be asbent...or a live action series of the games...and they could use a big budget to add onto stuff...(i just want my death with brain mattsr)

Visually the show looked amazing. If they just got rid lf the plot, most of the cast, all of the writers and got some people who actually cared about halo it could have been awsome

What's hilarious is that Paramount canceled the show, not Microsoft or Xbox. And now they're trying to sell it someone else. Clearly not even Paramount wants it on their platform anymore, and that kind of says a lot.

Just wish one of these days we’d have someone who wants to make a live adaptation of our favorite childhood memory as if it was theirs too…actually know the source material, having lived it, played it and understanding it as they new what drew us all to it…this is disappointing because I held out for the show wanting to know what happens next. Hollywood sure likes to ruin everything though.

A different studio should just start from scratch and by scratch I mean just adapt like the first 3 games and their corresponding books. You could also do that same with Halo Reach and the Fall of Reach

Technically, they said they’re not gonna host the show anymore which ultimately makes it de facto canceled, but paramount didn’t actually cancel the show.
