In this week's episode of Minutes With, we sat down with the brilliant 'Big Phil' Campion, a former SAS soldier. The fact this man served in not only the Army but also the SAS and upon leaving had to resort to claiming a crisis loan is disgusting of this country. They should be given more support when leaving.

I’m Somali so I clicked on this video straight away and I loved this guys energy from the get go and I was very curious to hear what he had to say about Somalia. He actually put a smile on my face because he mentioned the truth about the Situation. They were given no choice.

I thought I had my video set to 1.25x speed! But genuinely wish more people spoke with this speed and enthusiasm. I bet everyone wants to go to the pub with him…

So much respect for him being honest about Somalia and their fishing waters being polluted on purpose…

Phil is a great guy. I'm now 37, however when I was 19, saw him in the local pub called the fox and hounds. Run by a lovely lady called sue... I had completed training after 6 weeks with the TA (nothing great, I know) but, it was great to me. The reason why I did it was because the burst of the Internet and media about Phil. He's such a positive character and an impact on me. I was shocked and wished I approached him.... I may have times and dates wrong, but I was still young and still to this day admire him. I even saw him 2 years ago walking along the local river, wish I stopped the car and said hello

As an american i always thought the seals, UDT were the best of the best and then i read up and looked into the SAS. Much respect from across the pond boys. Cheers.

came back to this after the last video of Honesty Box. Must say a thing, apart from the fact that he's an absolute top lad: the last piece of advice, the very last clarification, was top notch. Not only never give up, but also don't worry if you fail if you gave your best. That's the real profound thing, not many people specify that, and that's what most people fear: failure.
For me at least, that was on point. Top lad

22:37 "when you start this job, you start with 2 bags, one says luck, its full but it has a hole in it, the other one is empty and is labelled 'experience' the trick to doing well is to fill the bag labelled experience, before the bag labelled luck runs empty"

What i was told by a instructor on the maritime security course.

That last few words of advice rings through. He seems like a solid guy and his enthusiasm is infectious. Imagine he was in your squad. Great interview.
