This election season has some fearing that American democracy is in deep peril, as candidates and voters navigate a series of overlapping crises around public health, economic and racial inequality, political polarization, and voter suppression. To understand what’s next, CHF convenes some of the authors behind Our Common Purpose: Reinventing American Democracy for the 21st Century, a recent report from the American Academy of Arts and Sciences (AAAS).
