If you're hankering for a cup of coffee, today's one day you can get your coffee and drink it too -- for free!

Sept. 29 is National Coffee Day, and several popular places will give your fix for free.

McDonald's, Krispy Kreme, Dunkin' Donuts are among businesses in Phoenix and elsewhere celebrating National Coffee Day with a free mug of java.

Do they hope you'll pay for an Egg McMuffin, Chocolate Frosted or Original Glazed while you're sipping? Of course!

But do you have to? Apparently not!

_On Sept. 29, National Coffee Day, guests can walk into any participating Dunkin' Donuts restaurant across the country and receive a free medium cup of Dunkin' Donuts hot Dark Roast Coffee, with a limit of one per guest,_ Dunkin' Donuts proclaims in a press release.
