Hi there. 10 year United States military veteran specializing primarily in intelligence as well as specialized research and development. This short is laughably bad. First ICBMs CAN be intercepted. Their high speed does very little to protect against interception. Within seconds of launch we will have them pinpointed. Although several minutes will go by before we can intercept having them pinpointed means an interception isn't all that hard. However due to the location that such weapons are launched from normally means that even once interception becomes viable in most situations we will not immediately have a viable weapon system within range which farther reduces the time available to intercept. Now since most such weapons have SEVERAL nuclear warheads per missile it is critical to intercepted before the ICBM reaches the point of lets call it M.I.R.V. M.I.R.V. stands for Multiple Independent Rentry Vehicle. This is a point where the ICBM starts to basicly throw its nuclear warheads from orbit at its target. Once it reaches that point the interception systems must deal with multiple nuclear warheads spread out across subspace. Much harder than just going after the ICBM itself. The ICBM after reaching M.I.R.V. will then activate decoy and jamming systems as well as launch chaff and specialized flares to help protect the warheads. This is why all interceptions are planned for before an ICBM reaches M.I.R.V. much easier to intercepte the ICBM itself. The United States relies on several defensive systems to protect itself in the event of nuclear war. Everything from land, ship, and sea based defense platforms to airborne laser aircraft to specialized modified B-1, and B-52 bombers using extreme range missiles with experimental plasmic yield warheads which basically create a cloud of superheated gas (plasma) 100s of meters wide (if inside earths atmosphere) and thousands of meters wide (if in subspace) such weapons although experimental are a great help in the event of nuclear war. We have enough of them to allow us to survive (albeit bloodied up but less bloodied than most people realize) the first nuclear exchange between the United States and Russia. I use the Russian Federation as the example since it is the only enemy of the United States with a large enough stockpile of legitimate ICBMs and SLBMs as well as nuclear ALCMs to challenge the United States in a nuclear war. This gives us a huge advantage while it is NOT enough in and of itself to protect against the follow up attacks which would take more time but would begin at the same time as the launching of continental ICBMs it would still be a huge advantage. So yes such missiles CAN be intercepted and defeated.

You already know that ICBMs fly on a ballistic trajectory and they cannot maneuver

None of the shown images depicts an ICBM, as the name suggests they are BALLISTIC meaning they have an EXTREMELY predictable trajectory, however, modern ICBMs have multiple war heads including many duds making it much harder to destroy the threat.
What you are talking about it hypersonic cruise missile which don’t exit the atmosphere and rather fly on a planned route which is able to be updated remotely.

Wow. Not even close. There are SO many things wrong with this. The US has hypersonic. Ridiculous misinformation.

Speed and stealth because it create plasma cloud covering the missile

Hi from Britland; why no mention of the decoys, passive and electronic countermeasures...?

Sir,
Let all the countries should stop conflicts to save the human race otherwise we have to witness dynousors age.

Thanking you,

Then just laugh it a few minutes before it hits the airspace 😂

Neuton bombs are actually an accaptable option.

Even if you intercept a nuclear missile, it won't make a change cuz radioactive ☢️ will be raining over your country and your doomed.😂

Aren't BALLISTIC MISSILES different from NUCLEAR MISSILE OR NUKES?

Pakistan is in the path to develop one very soon.

usa have effective way to intercept nuclear missile when the tech was invented it lead to more nuclear weapon to conter it

It has nothing to do with being nuclear or not.

Can't fly faster than laser can they.

Um, with Exo-atmospherical kill vehicles, ICBM'S are not as hard to intercept anymore from what I know from being a private aerospace engineer.
I'm just saying. 🤷

What about Remote controlled Missiles? 😂😂
