OEGlobal23: OER UNITWIN Network

Показать описание
We wish to present the UNITWIN Network on Open Education, organized around the activities of a dozen UNESCO Chairs already working in this field, to better address the numerous challenges linked with community building, research, education and the world-wide sharing of ideas, teaching and learning resources, concepts and software.
UNITWIN is a unique intellectual and strategic programme of some 900 institutions from over 120 countries aimed at strengthening connections between research and development policy and practice at country, regional and global levels. It has contributed to strengthening higher education systems and fostering collaborative research partnerships and networks. Through its integrated approach that combines research, teaching and training, as well as community engagement, the Programme has proven value in advancing UNESCO’s interdisciplinary knowledge generation and the Organization’s role as global observatory and as a laboratory of ideas.
The network aims at developing four core target areas with the 10 activities below and supporting UNESCO’s 2022-2029 medium term strategies and the UNESCO Approved programme and budget 2022-2025. In particular it will support UNESCO’ Recommendation on OER (2019) and its promotion, implementation and progress evaluation.
The Open Education Global Conference 2023, or #OEGlobal23, took place in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada, from 16-18 October 2023 and was co-hosted by OEGlobal and NorQuest College.
