Costco is a rival to Sam's Club when it comes to wholesale and buying in bulk and we reviewed them back on the livestream on January 28th. As you'll hear in the video, Costco is one company that we enjoy a great deal on a personal level...but what about their fundamentals.

Costco stock is one that had great appeal when you first think about it. Great branding, people know this company and get a lot of great things from this company but its food. They have low margins just like any other food company out there and there isn't a way to get around that. On the topic of gas prices, Costco gas is a decent quality for the price. While most people won't notice the difference between Circle K and Costco fuel, we have started noticing. We tow an RV with our Toyota Tundra and have observed that our MPG and range will decrease significantly when we use several of the cheapest (non Costco) options. I work at Costco and usually play options pretty well. For a while the stock would go between upper $370 to lower $360, however, this last month has been brutal. I know once they closed all the photo labs the company kinda took a hit but Costco has been doing great throughout this pandemic. Thanks for the video.

you mentioned that the annual dividend is $1.2B whereas the FCF as shown is $1.75B. However the FCF shown on the screen is quarterly and not annually. Contrary to what you are saying, I am thinking they have more than enough to cover the annual dividend. Am I missing something here?

About the list of a little book that beats the market, the site. The list contains companies with good earnings yield and good ROA. If you look at the list you see a lot of companies with negative equity and a lot of debt. Don't you think that then it is not weird that they have a high ROA since they have a lot of debt so more capital to deploy. I myself always look at ROE and D/E combined. What do you guys think about ROA and ROE. I think ROE with D/E tells you way more. Because if you have a lot of debt and not that many assets. I would expect Return on assets is good.
