We don't know what sparked the fire, but the drought and high temperatures can be attributed to fossil fuel pollution, so it might be the worst man made disaster in the state's history.

It’s going to take time for that aid to get there that’s why its irritating when people are like “it’s not here yet” yes we know you need help. But it’s going to take a second to get the aid there. It’s an isolated island and debris fields everywhere. Even in normal circumstances it takes time

The hotter climate allows the atmosphere to absorb more water, which dries out the vegetation to the point of making it all fire tinder. Any spark then ignites the vegetation that burns everything to the ground from the temperature-generated high winds. When the Jet Stream meanders a bit, an atmospheric river develops to cause a deluge equivalent to a thousand-year flood. This is a pattern that will repeat itself for at least 100 years even if we stop producing all CO₂ and methane today because the heat accumulated to this point will decompose the previously frozen tundra and release methane hydrates from permafrost and ocean deposits to keep the temperature much higher than normal.
