Why doesn't it automatically (default)set the route from.your current position ..?

You need to use your right hand and specify each move you are blocking the screen with your left arm and it is hard to follow.

The video is confusing and his hand covers the screen when he presses any button. He didn't really explain what he was doing a lot of the time.

Im amazed, Im watching this to learn how to auto route and the Lowrance product expert even has trouble setting up the auto routing.! This tutorial is a mess. I just bought a HDS Live and the auto routing is way to complex, you need to press about a dozen buttons to do it. Why cant we just select a point on the chart and select auto route or navigate too.? Like when using the Navionics app.? Secondly, when I auto route, it quite often takes me out of the channel, across sand bars and occasionally straight to the land or cuts across land areas. Not very impressed Lowrance. Thinking I may have to return my unit and purchase something else.

Can I install a NAC-1 on my inboard with HDS displays? If I install a NAC-2 system can I use the same feature?

Just trying to setup my lowrance hds9 carbon and having an issue with the auto routing . I have already checked for updates and nothing is needed but any chance you could help me out ?

It's different for the Lowrance Elite Ti2 than for the HDR that you are using.
