How to: Make a Copper Plating Solution at home… Simple!

In this video I show you how to make a good copper plating solution that can craete a thin but durable layer of copper on your project. I tried a lot of different methods but this is the only solution that really works for me. A lot of solutions can create a layer of copper….but the layer will not stick. Hey Kasper, thanks for a straight forward video. Would using high end low Oxygen Copper wire be better ?
Also would this work by substituting the HydroChloric acid with 100 grain aka 10% or higher acidity Vinegar ?
Also putting a filter sleeve on both rods could help the purity of the brew ?

Thanks for the knowledge of your video. Can you tell me please if the copper pipe that has been introduced in to the solution is cleaned with a wire wheel Can it be reused to make more solution or is there now impurities corrosion etc that makes it not advisable. Thanks in advance. Regards Eddie

I wonder why add the acid because I have tried it with tap water and baking soda and the mixture becomes this rich blue but the plating is very inconsistent!
I was wondering what does the acid do?
