Field is greatly underperformed and overlooked for his role in music history. Most general music history text only briefly mention John Field as an influence on Chopin. He moved to Moscow and was a founder of the Russian School of Piano and a key contributer to the establishment of the Moscow Conservatory. The Russian piano method produced some of finest pianist and composers the world had ever seen. Rachmaninoff, Scriabin, Ritcher, Giles, Horowitz etc came out of the Russian school, but Field's contribution to it is left out for some unfathomable reason.

Nice playing. Pretty and straightforward music, I quite liked the hushed chordal theme. Though I see why Field is compared to Chopin, instead of Chopin being compared to Field.
