As a fellow Oregonian, and a now 71yo retiree custom furniture designer/craftsman, who for a decade also owned a "Functional Art Gallery", in Southern Oregon, this just confirms what I have known and said for 40+ years. This state contains the most creative (MOSTLY) PRACTICAL Artists and Artisans of anywhere that I know of. If I still had the gallery, I would most certainly engage Randy to be compensated to park this marvelous piece of functional art in front of my gallery for a weekend. If not for financial gain through gallery sales, but to merely show to the public the potential of the creative mind when it combines with an innovative engineering mind with a craftsman with physical IN ONE PERSON and whatever "team" he might have.

As an old guy, the first two things that flashed into my mind were Peter Max and Yellow Submarine. After watching this video again, it feels like my childhood - in a slightly alternate universe. Absolutely immaculate, cohesive attention to detail. Nothing jars you, nothing feels out of place - once you get comfortable with the whole alternate universe thing. Brilliant.
