Bought some lipstain pre Covid on the recommendation of Kat from Beautynews. Lots of reds and they had one orange and one hot pink.

This was great, thank you! I've been interested in getting a lip stain to use on cheeks and lips–it would be perfect for my usual no-makeup makeup days. Would you still recommend the Benefit Benetint as a cheek staining blush?
Once you review all the lip stains you purchased, could you please rate them? Having them rated would really help me in choosing which to buy, as I'll definitely try your top favourite picks!

Hi Maaike I like the idea of these and did in fact buy a Peri pera velvet lip product a while ago. The issue is the colour selection for me. I don't wear bright lip products and the rosy nude shade I bought is really dark, compared to most shades badged as rosy nude. As I'm so pale it looks darker on me than most people, but I'm not a big fan of dark lipstick either as I have quite small lips. I would maybe like a light pink or light mauve stain, but they're all really bright from what I can tell - this is however what Korean women wear and therefore not surprising. I never liked the benetint on the lips - even years ago it travelled into every lip line, so the watery tints are probably not going to suit a more mature audience.
these look great on you, but you wear and really suit bright lip shades. Best wishes.
ps I found the colours to be very confusing online when I bought the one I have - it definitely looked lighter in the picture than it is in real life.
