On Sunday, May 21 2023, MERA25 will contest the upcoming general election in Greece. The situation in Greece, contrary to what the international media has been reporting lately, is well and truly awful. Nothing less than a rupture with this system designed to make the poor poorer and the ultra-rich, richer, is required.

In this video, Yanis Varoufakis and Elena Pelagia explain why MERA25 Greece demands a rupture with this system and illustrate a system for the many that could replace it.

After nearly 30 years working in the carbon industry it is clear that the greatest hope we have is a true democracy.

We need Rupture NOW! If only our supposed leaders were even a fraction of Yanis Varoufakis the world would be a better place.

Listening on to the end of this I still do not hear of a plan to make this financially possible, as much as I would love to see it happen. I agree with the plan but the means to get there is a mystery to me.

I do not understand how to find the money to initiate these wonderful goals, given the outstanding debt held by the E U banks and governments. The real tragedy is the international financial system which bleeds countries for the benefit of a very few oligarchs and money changers. Will Greece have to find /borrow money from those same blood suckers as before in order to initiate the well considered goals. What is the Answer to this question? Please help.

Towards obvious, you are 100% right. But, programs, if existing at all, and especially content(s) of those programs. I do not know, maybe we will agree about everything, we'll see...
First, I think about myself as some socialist, much more as communit. If, and only we stalled and recap what socialism and especially communism was / is.
My thoughts:
1. no revolution goes to anything good, every revolution eat it's own children (French revolution: Robespierre (prominent revolutionist) - killed; Lavoisier ("ordinary" French man and the founder of chemistry as a science... - killed) so, big no to revolutionism
2. same about marxism, leninism, maoism (? really, maoism?);
even today, some prominent American economists (Wolf or Wolfe, not sure) at congressions lecture audiences: ...today's problems related to capitalism - first, second, third, fourth, fifth, ... and you see (grab some little notes) Marx wrote about that all, even like prophet, in order of appearances of problems... So, no, no. Stick with rational, applicable issues.
3. Socialism, communism do not exist, both never existed, before falling of Soviet Union & Warsaw pact, there were countries with one party systems (pretty similar to two parties system in US, because, after "voting thing", elected members astable "rules of the game", and theatre could go on); anyway, there is two ways capitalism, corporate (with or without, but, mostly with shareholders bonds & other means system), and country & state version of capitalism (Soviet Union & others (some as "inside", some as "outside" partners: outside = nonmembers of Warsaw pact, and, slightly different, but today's PR of China)

This can only work on a european level. But only Spain has a strong left now. I don't want to seem fatalistic but the immediate future looks Gloomy 😢 The clip is excellent but demagogy is winning arguments everywhere in the world right now

Equality is a function of wealth, The People are The Government. Diversity is a function of wealth, The Economy is The Congress. Flat and Parabolic Democracies are functions of wealth x Voting with ballots has it's place, but money is the power behind democracy in an economic society.

Greece could help her population drain by acknowledging the at least educated and financially well off DIASPORA as Greek citizens. Don't bellyache and sit on your hands doing nothing to help yourself. How many Greek DIASPORA do I know that can't get Greek citizenship. What's the matter with you?
