I'm Aussie 42 and am 😅Lanni g my first trip to Thailand early next year with the plan to retire there one day as retiring in Australia is a cost too far.i had been watching alot of videos and it was all bar girl stories and scammers and I was getting put off but am glad I have found your channel as I want to move for a quiet peaceful life not dating bar girls. I have started to learn thai as I believe imersion in a culture is the only way to really know it's beauty. Keep up the great and informative content

555 Rob I done the rural isan thing about an hour & a bit out of KK had a good friend close as well anyway if I ask him where his misses was if she wasn't around he would say up the mountain collecting weeds & grubs it's so true what you were saying, I love Thai food as well but not so fond of the weeds & grubs, cheers

Hey Robb, I am coming to Thailand again next week. My girlfriend is from by Mukdahan. She is Isaan for sure. She is going to have me eat frog and possibly some mountain rat when we go to her mom's house. I have enjoyed your videos. Actually in Isaan you have North Isaan which speaks a Lao based language and South Isaan which speaks a Khmer, or Cambodian, based language

The mia noi is definitely a thing. I know several Thai guys who have multiple ladies on the side. It’s very common. Our driver actually openly speaks about her husband’s mia noi. It’s odd how some of these ladies are accepting of this. Very cool here in Hua Hin. About 28 here right now. A lot of rain. Definitely check out areas before you decide to move here. Been coming to Hua Hin for years before making the move here. But lots of different lifestyle choices here.
