If you do this again yourself here are some tips!

BEFORE:
- Avoid waterproof mascara for up to 72 hours before the treatment
- Avoid makeup within 24 hours of the treatment
- Use oil-free makeup remover to remove any residue and/or dirt you might have on your lashes

DURING:
- Try and get some gel pads to cover your bottom lashes (so your top ones don't stick to them) & close your eyes so that the fumes from the chemicals don't get in them and make your eyes go all watery
- Remember that naturally soft, fine and lightly coloured lashes need less time to process
- The smaller the rod/lift pads - the tighter/more dramatic the curl. The bigger the lift pads - the softer/more natural the curl
- Comb out your lashes with a spooly and make sure they are as straight as possible and don't touch each other
- Apply the treatment as close to the lash line as possible

AFTER:
- Avoid getting your lashes wet for the first 24 hours and try to avoid steam as well
- Avoid any oils, shampoos, lotions and creams near the eyes for the first 24 - 48 hours
- You can use regular mascara but avoid waterproof and other harsh products
- Try to be gentle with your lashes! No rubbing them and try not to sleep face down

Hi Soph, I’m a beauty therapist and I do this at work. It’s normal for the lashes to come off the pad, don’t worry 😂 if you want to tint your lashes I recommend doing it after the fixing lotion. Then after your all done avoiding anything hot near your face for 24 hours and also avoid rubbing them as well as this makes the perm come out. Hope this helps 😊 xx

That cerave sunscreen lotion thingy you showed at 1:47 caused me an allergic reaction or something, wore it like I would a regular sunscreen during my summer job outdoors (physical one) and got home, looked in the mirror and saw my cheeks completely swollen, bright red. Would not recommend! On top of the reaction, I burned. I do not burn that easy.

Hi! I bought the same kit because I saw a great review by Milabu. I did it today and it worked really well. My eyes watered a little but no burning. She shows how to use the plastic wrap - just a small piece to cover the lashes while the solutions sit will help hold them in place.

Definitely recommend Chanel Tan de Soleil - it’s totally worth the price you get a lot of product and a little goes a long way will last ages mine does. Get a really soft blend x

I have been doing my own lash lifting with this kit for about a year now (every few months, just done my 5th treatment) and every time it gets easier! I would recommend using some betted eyelash glue, I bought one from superdrug!

Hey Sophie, firstly I felt the struggle 😂 I permed mine yesterday and my oh is it annoying when your lashes ping off 🙈 I actually used cling film as the wrap and that helps the lashes to stay down and not peel off whilst your waiting for the 10 mins to pass! And secondly the Chanel bronzer is my favourite cream bronzer!! Would highly recommend. It gives you the most natural looking summer kissed tan! Definitely a must have 🥰
