I keep saying it.. Quality over Quantity.. so tired of games that burn out because they are shallow in development. I think the MMORPG genre needs to take a page from Elden Ring and slow things down. Make a button push more meaningful, make combat and decisions more thoughtful. Just look at the top mmorpgs right now and you can see what works and what didnt, hell, look at the top games right now rpg and mmorpg.

I miss old school tab target grind fests. Archlord I played for 7 years until it shut down. There's something satisfying about Farming specific enemies for a specific super rare drop and finally getting it, or the ease of play of just pressing Tab + 1 and grinding easily. No current mmo can keep me interested long term.

I hope Ashes of Creation is great, although likely won't offer the same grind I desire.

A part of me inside wants to be excited for many of these specifically the Korean ones because I want to give into my childish self and have that sparkle in my eyes and say “that’s so cool” when I watch these but unfortunately that can’t be the case any more with mmorpg’s these days.

My criteria for don’t play:

- No in game footage
- Being on mobile
- Any form of auto attack/gameplay feature
- Tab target (nothing wrong I just personally grew up with and prefer action combat)
- I would put pay to win here but to me it’s dependent on how it’s implemented. I’ve played some games considered pay to win but they didn’t stop me from having fun or force me to spend an exuberant amount of money or any at all to progress or have fun.

If any one of these are met I am just out the door and just going to wait and see how well or how bad these will do.

AS a long time MMORGP gamer, I dont really care about graphics. I just want a secured, stable and a true old style rpg games with great combat system like the old Raiderz.

NCSoft also made a big deal of Lineage W having a global launch, but only released it in Asia so far. I wouldn't believe their word on Throne and Liberty. For sure they will thoroughly test it out in Korea first, as well as in other asian markets, before they consider releasing it globally.

BitCraft and Tower of Fantasy is what I'm looking forward to, other MMOs that mentioned in the video is is what I lose hype for because of delays, setbacks, or it might be even region locked 😒
