Wonder if your son can help me. I use an old iPhone that doesn't have a SIm as a music player and want to do so with my Defender but when I connect it to tries to set CarPlay but that doesn't work as there is no SIM so the iPhone won't connect at all - not even as a music player. I have tried "forget" from the CarPlay setting on the phone, but it just tries again to connect when I reconnect the iPhone. The set up worked fine on my BMW that had CarPlay - old phone hard wired in for music, new phone connected by Bluetooth to use a phone.

Wish JLG had an up grade for the RRS 2013 l320 . My media set up is Rubbish, sometimes it plays my USB stick and sometimes it doesn't !!!

My Peugeot 3008 will use CarPlay via Bluetooth, just enable it in the phones settings.
