Da Vinci's The Last Supper plays a key role in the 2006 blockbuster hit The Da Vinci Code. Although the film's claims are more fiction than fact, could the painting actually contain a message from Leonardo?

Jesus: table for 26, please
"but there is only 13 of you"
Jesus: Yes, but we are all going to sit on one side of the table

Here is the problem with his Theory. He argues that the painter HAD to follow the rules he was given and that one of the disciples must be youthful. He said its stupid to think anything else. Then he says that the picture is without halos because the painter wanted to show them as mortal men. He contradicts himself. Either he followed the rules or he didn’t. It’s a simple logic problem. You can’t say something is stupid to think the painter changed the painting then turned around and say the painter painted what he interpreted. And just because you study something for 15 years does not make you an expert. Talk to the Flat Earth People.

But what this video doesn't mention is that, apparently, Da Vinci was part of the Priory of Sion. Which means he had the inside information that none of the other artists had.

What if it's just an innocent painting of Da Vinci, just that modern times found a lot of coincidence and made theories?

What if all researchers n such were just overthinking things this whole time, and all the artists are just copying each other :o

John or Mary Magdalene aside (whatever that case may be), the one thing I've always thought that stood out the most was that almost every other painting of the Last Supper, both before and after Da Vinci's version depicts Christ and most of his disciples with halos, indicating divine roles or Sainthood, yet Da Vinci's work supports absolutely none of this, and still his version is envisioned as THE most famous of all!

Before: what a beautiful art
Now: what is the secret that lies in this painting?

I always had a theory that the table cloth used during the last supper was then used as Jesus's burial cloth.

ok but couldn't you also make the argument that it could be Marry if the older paintings that Da Vinci copied depicted Marry instead of John?

I enjoy bedtime stories like these, people are so imaginative that they lead to making their own interpretations.

The John/Magdalene figure is the only one wearing a pendant on a chain. Also, the Judas figure is the only one not drinking wine. He has a glass of what appears to be milk in front of him. He has also spilt the salt on the table.

Don't you just hate it when research and facts blow up a good story? Oh well.
BTW, I enjoyed his accent.

Da Vinci knew things the Church didn't want people to know.

That couldn’t be Mary Magdalene because Leonardo had to copy this from earlier paintings... “that’s 2 mins later Leonardo doesn’t put the halos in due to his unique perspective... 🤔🤔🤔

Just because mary magdalene is the first person to see jesus after resurrection, doesn't mean they have relationships to each other.

That wasn't conclusive at all, it was a theory about a theory. He wouldn't have done it because he HAD to follow the rules but then he didn't give them halos for whatever reason he decided was best. Which one is it mate?

It’s funny that many people think that Da Vinci was in the room during the last supper painting them. The dude was born in the 1400’s; he could have written in plain English: “this is Mary” and it wouldn’t matter cause it’s just a painting of a time he had no part of. He never even went to the Middle East east where this took place.

The da Vinci code is nothing more than a glorified alternate history fiction story. Like the man in the high castle; minus the Nazis.
