Jurassic World

The Jurassic World theme park lets guests experience the thrill of witnessing actual dinosaurs, but something ferocious lurks behind the park's attractions - a genetically modified dinosaur with savage capabilities. When the massive creature escapes, chaos erupts across the island. Now it's up to Owen (Chris Pratt) and Claire (Bryce Dallas Howard) to save the park's tourists from an all-out prehistoric assault.

Fun fact, the reason the baby sitter's death was so drawn out is because this was the first ever woman death in the franchise so they wanted to make it memorable

So yeah the actor who played John Hammond passed a long time ago. As for the expense thing, he wasn't trying to get investors for the park, he was trying to keep them from pulling out. He was trying to prove the park was safe to the lawyer. Dennis Mitchell (Newman) chose his salary. He has a bit of dialogue where he says "could you find someone who can debug two billion lines of code for what I bid to do this job?" Meaning he offered to do the job for a certain salary. He wanted to renegotiate and Hammond refused, most likely because at a higher price he could have hired someone else. Hammond even said his park was not for the super rich and that everyone deserved to see the park.

40:36 Actually, it IS from the movies, the horn sound its exactly the beginning of the Jurassic Park theme. That is why they used it for Camp Cretaceous.

Probably my favorite line in the entire franchise:
Claire: "You can pick up their scent, can't you? Track their footprints?"
Owen, with a blank expression: "I was with the NAVY, not the NAVAJO!!" 😂😂😂😂😂☠☠☠🐾🐾

I have several things to say:
1) The T-rex in the film is the same as in the first film.
2) Isla Nublar is the island in the 1st Jurassic Park and Isla Sorna in the 2nd and 3rd.
3) Like many people, you confuse Pterodatyle (whose real name is Pterodactylus) with Pteranodon, what's the difference? Pterodactylus has a wingspan of around one meter, while Pteranodons have a wingspan of around 5 meters.
4) They're not Brachiosaurus but Apatosaurus.
5) The marine animal is a Mosasaurus (which is 25m longer than it should be, i.e. 17m) and is still smaller than a blue whale, which can be 30m long.
6) In the end, we do the same thing in real life: we put tigers in zoos when they don't belong there. And even if dinosaurs eat people, do we have to kill them? No, they just live their lives (I'm not talking about the Indominus Rex).
7) And to answer your question as to why they didn't just recreate herbivorous dinosaurs, well, it's simple: for the money, for the ecosystem, for the film. And hebivores would still be just as dangerous as carnivores, if not more so. And Camp Cretaceous replaces Jurassic World.
8) And finally, the little flying animals with the big heads are Dimorphodons, and in fact Pteranodons and Dimorphodons only ate fish. Pteranodons and Dimorphodons are flying reptiles, not dinosaurs, and Mosasaurus is a marine reptile, not a dinosaur.

Fan facts about the Raptor Squad:
Each of the Velociraptors designs and patterns were due to having the DNA of other animals they were spliced on in their genes.
Blue = She gets her signature blue lining on her body from the DNA of a black-throated monitor lizard
Charlie = Her DNA is from a green iguana which explains her green colouring
Delta = She has avian DNA that results in her more birdlike movements and behaviour
Echo = Her's is unknown for no sources has confirmed what animal DNA she was created with

To further indicate the T-Rex is the same from the first movie, the scars on its neck are from the fight with the raptors at the end.

Actually, the crazy thing is, the Indominus wasn't fully grown in the movie. In the movie, she was only 40 feet long. If she was a fully grown adult, she would be 51 feet at maximum length, and weigh up to approximately 8 tons at most.

The guy running with the drinks when the guests were being attacked is actually Jimmy Buffet. Great scene 💜

I love this movie. It gives all tue nostalgia and fanservice of the first 3, while still feeling like a fresh movie that could stand on its own. And the final battle was so fun.

Not a reboot or revival. Just a sequel.

15:21 I was surprised that kid wasn’t hurt from that drop. I’ve fallen from that height before and it’s not enjoyable. 16:23 I love how that Raptor was just hanging by the fence looking at him. The thing with the Raptors going after Owen is like any animal you train. You keep eye contact and they won’t make a move but the second you break eye contact they are prone to attack. 19:36 like the whale show at Marine World. My daughter loved to sit in the splash zone. 22:42 we’ll yeah the Dino is between their escape and them and he’s too big to outrun the Dino. 28:38 and the problem is they have non lethal weapons so it’s doing nothing to the Dino. 30:38 he keeps finding the same group of girls that he saw coming into the park. I love how at the beginning he was so focused on his girlfriend back home and now he’s on the hunt for someone to keep him occupied while he’s away. 1:09:16 can’t really say how long they live since they’re clones. They might have a gene that allows them to live longer.

when looking at the Indominus Rex's actions more closely, I believe her potential intelligence may be even greater than we may initially think, as examples...

1) aside from marking the wall of her enclosure to fool the humans (hiding her thermal signature may just be part of her instinctual stealth tactic rather than knowing they locate her with, it I'll admit), she also positions herself ahead of time to cut off the humans from the door she cannot escape through, thereby forcing them to open the large doors she can escape through

2) while her removing her tracking implant is significant, the fact that she set up an ambush with it shows that she (correctly) guessed that this strange object was how the humans would find her and used that against them, demonstrates a scarily accurate deduction of the potential purposes of (some) technology

3) after encountering the helicopter and realising she can't reach it and breaking into the aviary, she very quickly realises the potential of the Pterosaurs* inside to bring down/distract the helicopter for her, even when they are easily within snapping distance she doesn't try to kill any of them, instead she riles them up, then deliberately herds some out the hole she made towards the helicopter, only exiting the aviary when she sees it crashing down

I would also say that to me, the most scary physical aspect of the Indominus Rex has always been her massive and powerful arms with hands that have apposable thumbs, things no other Theropod Dinosaur has

I would also highly recommend watching Camp Cretaceous as well (ideally after finishing the films first) as well as slipping the short, Battle at Big Rock, in between Fallen Kingdom and Dominion (preferably the Extended Edition of the latter)

* I add this not to be mean and to say as politely/diplomatically as possible, but as a lifelong Dinosaur enthusiast, please don't use the word Pterodactyls, its my biggest... I guess you could call it a pet peeve (is that right?), in regards to prehistoric misinterpretation/misinformation, it just really rubs me the wrong way. That word is a shortened version of the species name Pterodactylus in the group known collectively as Pterosaurs, and more specifically, the species in this film are Pteranodon (the larger one with the beaks, and all females as shown by the very short head crests) and Dimorphodon (the smaller ones with toothy jaws). I just ask to please try and refer to these as Pterosaurs (as you would for Dinosaurs you can't specify) rather than Pterodactyls (they are also not flying Dinosaurs, birds are, but that misunderstanding is understandable), thank you

I always laugh at this movie because it's like "there were three movies that prove why this is a terrible idea, and y'all went for it anyway." It's a lot of fun tho!

1:09:28 Fun fact : She's actually right. That's actually how paleontologists learn how old a dinosaur was when they died. Bones actually have more and more markings like tree rings as we grow.

The sauropods they find massacred in the valley were Apatosaurus, not Brachiosaurus. The two flying species were Pteranodon and Dimorphodon. And yes, the Tyrannosaurus is the same one from the original film, known amongst fans as Rexy. It's impossible to know the max lifespan of a clone. Take a caveman that would have lived 20 years, you give him prime meals, healthcare, he's going to live 5x as long.

Someone's likely commented about it already, but just in case here is a lil fun fact about the old Gas Jeeps they find at the original park's visitors center in this movie; These two Jeeps are Jurassic Park Jeeps #18 and #29 (#29 being the one that the kids fix and drive), both of which are the Jeeps that bring the group in Jurassic Park from the Helipad to see the Brachiosaurus for the first time and then subsequently to the visitors center, #18 transporting Dr. Grant, Dr. Sattler, and Dr. Malcom, and #29 being the one that John Hammond and Gennaro (The lawyer) are transported in.
