Jean Charest is a Red Tory, the equivalent of a RINO in American politics. As a member of the Progressive Conservative Party, Charest showed people in Western Canada his hostility to the Reform Party, which was very popular in the West. Charest was never popular in western Canada, whatever his popularity might have been or still is in Ontario and Quebec. However, all that anyone needs to become Prime Minister in Canada is sufficient support in Ontario and Quebec. Mr. Boulus does not understand that in Canadian politics there is no room for yet another left-wing party, when there are already three of them in Parliament (not counting the Bloc).
