Cristiano Ronaldo just opened a YouTube channel and the man broke the world record for the fastest channel to hit 10 million subscribers, doing it in about 12 hours. For context, the last quickest account to hit 10 million subscribers was Hamster Kombat who did it in 7 days. Crazy, right?

At the time this video was made, Cristiano’s channel was already sitting at 20 million subscribers.

I mean, Ronaldo is not the only player with a YouTube channel. The likes of Ben Forster, Sergio Agüero, and Viní Jr. have had their own channels on this platform for quite some time now, but when the biggest name in the sport ventures into it, it’s definitely going to change a lot of things. And in this case, not in a good way.

Some things to say:-
1) Well, yes Cristiano's retirement is coming sooner but I'd expect him to play for 2-3 years... Although clearly not at a high level now and then.

2)I would say it's GOOD for the sport. His videos coinciding with a big fixture is an effective way of getting rid of plastic fans in a game.

3) Top level footballers do not have a lot of time for YouTube so they wouldn't even bother doing that till they get bad at their sport (by age or something else)

4)I do think Cristiano will be involved in football business, by that I mean taking a stake at a club. YouTube actually helps him achieve this sort of ambition.

Side note:- Did any of you guys even watch Lionel Messi's videos btw?
He also has a YouTube channel, just a lot older and in Spanish....
