Container Grown Lychees | What I used to Force them to Flower!

I grown a number of Tropical Fruit Trees in Northern California.
It’s been s mixed bag when it comes to Lychee trees setting fruit.
In this video, I show how I got an amazing amount of blossoms just by adding a common fertilizer.

Great info, thanks Jeff! I have a Mauritius Lychee tree in a 20 gal. pot. It has been in it for 2 years now and never flowered. I’ll try using amendments that you recommended, to see if I can make it flower next season.

I've experienced the same results with most of my fruit trees. The smaller the container, the sooner it flowers and fruits. That's why I prefer to keep gradually up-potting into larger containers. More work but better results.

Glad you're able to grow lychee in Northern CA. is it recommended to give that fertilizer while the tree is flowering/fruiting?
