Definitely going to need to do a 2-bedroom igloo with a full kitchen and custom countertops. And of course, a full bathroom.

When spring arrived, your house became a liquid asset.

Love the Canadian sense of humour - "-15c is too warm for these winter clothes" The Australian equivalent would be "43c is not hot enough to turn the aircon on." Nice house.

this proves the fact that if a man sees another man building a big thing, you’re legally required to help

As a Canadian living in the UK for many years you have taken me back to my childhood in the 50s when we used to build igloos in our back yard. Though I hasten to add no woodburner or flatscreen lolol. Well done love it. Xxx

A house is not a home without a framed picture of wayne gretzky over every entrance. Glad to see you still respect the old ways even in your new home.

I just wanted to share my admiration for how you BRAVELY transversed the harsh Canadian landscape to forge a fresh start in your tiny igloo home. Its brave men and women like you that propel society forward! 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾

As a Saudi, I have never seen snow in my life. I lived in the sands of the Empty Quarter, and the temperature was 52 degrees Celsius, so thank God for the blessing...

3 things: 1) Any Canadian who's ever shoveled snow would tell you -15 C is too warm to be wearing a bunch of winter gear; and 2) An igloo's entrance is typically met with a drop in elevation at the entrance (think a small pit) which catches cool air and provides shelter from wind, and must contain an elevated area inside that gets you near the roof where the warmer air is (fun fact, your body is what heats up an igloo); 3) Your body heat will naturally cause the inside to form an ice layer wich will seal the gaps naturally, no need for a slush mortar. Anyway hope this helps. (Of course I know this isn't a long term structure, whereas my tips 2 & 3 are most practical in a long term structure)

Great job! This is what life is about... HAVING FUN with what you have. If life gives you snow, you don't complain, just build an igloo. Being a creative person guarantees that there is never a dull moment in your life --> my motto.

This deserves more views. You have a gift and a work ethic most will never have

I love this. You basically just lived one of my childhood dreams.

Fort in the woods made from sticks was my number 1 childhood dream. They never turned out well even though I tried to build them all the time.

You are too funny & very cool! My daddy & I build an igloo on the 2nd story of our porch just buy filling up a plastic shoebox from reaching over the balcony. It was the early 60's, I was 5 or 6. I couldn't believe how warm it was in below zero weather! We had a blizzard that year. Be kind to each other. Stay safe. Love to all

Off-Grid living never looked so good. Throw a hot tub in there and I'd say you have the perfect build.

I live in central New York east of Syracuse, in the hills, just south of the Adirondacks. My son built an igloo
in our large side yard one winter. He and a friend played in it, no heat source, but dug in-the snow enough to put in sleeping bags, a tarp base and blankets under sleeping bags. I was up all night worrying, but they slept in and had a great time!

My daughter Watched your Video.
She was so happy.

You could get it hotter in there if you dug the entryway lower and not as short. A lot of warm air escapes if your entry is too short
