Decent apartment this one. Kitchen, bathroom and living/bedroom are separated which is a big plus. Loads of light and aeration. This should be the standard for Micro Apartments.

When the music stopped is exactly how i felt when I saw the unfinished floor storage. LOL

I like this place a lot. Offers privacy and if you open window there is some greenery to look at. The bathroom was comfortable and you can put a bed and desk In the main space. It's got a closet too. Yes I could live in this place without feeling so confined and there is a park nearby 😊😊😊

A very nice apartment. The entrance is rather tight though. There’s a nice bathroom but sigh… no toilet paper storage unless you use the space under the sink. The actual bath is spacious and you can dry clothes as well. The living area is so bright, two lovely big windows for ventilation. The shutters should block out some heat during summer. The rent is very reasonable, yes, another winner!

Nice, I like that there is a door between the kitchen and the living room.

This apartment looks wonderful.
So much space in the living room. I also like the bathroom and the kitchen.
Everything fits perfectly and the rent is also reasonable.
In my opinion, this is the best apartment of them all till now. Very good.

I like this apartment. The kitchen is seperated from the living area, and there is a proper wash basin in the toilet.
The living area is square, so planning the furniture layout is easy. As there already is a built-in closet, and space are already allocated for both washing machine and fridge, there are less things to worry about when planning the furniture layout.

I travel to Japan often for work. Of all the business hotel rooms and micro apts I have seen, this has the best layout for around 200 sqft. The added door between the kitchen and main room is icing on top. I think this is as good as it gets for 200 sqft.

This may be the nicest apartment yet. It is a bit far out, but you make up for it with more space and lots of features. The unfinished floor storage is also a big win. Once you take out the trash and vacuum, there is a lot of space to store seasonal items, bulk food, etc... Thank you for sharing Usui-san.

The separation of the living and cooking space is great. The door allows one to get a sudden openness feeling after the tight kitchenette area..even if the open space is very small. It puts the mind into a more calm state.
Plus, murphy beds are awesome and can be part of a couch and storage system that just folds down to sleep. I also like a sofa sleeper or klik-klak but they require making the bed every night before sleeping.

Really nice, IMO. One of my favorite parts of these videos is when you put the little furniture models down. Especially liked the giant rolls of toilet paper in the closet, LOL!

8:45 - 8:52 The underfloor storage is located in a weird space: outside the shower and right next to the toilet. And, it is unfinished as well! Even if it is cleaned up and polished, I personally still wouldn't store "daily goods" there, due to the fact that it is right next to the toilet. I noticed that there is no storage space for toilet paper above the toilet. If they would clean it up and finish the work, the underfloor storage could be an ideal place for Usui-san to store toilet paper. 😄

14:56 That is a reasonable arrangement of the furniture. One thing I would add to is that, since you want to put a TV stand by the windowless wall, try to get a multi-functional, extendable TV stand with drawers that you can both use as storage and TV stand. That wall is 3.7 meters long. It would be a waist of the space if you just put a small TV stand there. Or, if you think that there is already enough storage space for this micro-apartment and that you don't need more, you can put a computer desk next to the TV stand. I noticed that in the micro-apartment you currently live in, there is a desk that serves as your workstation, but furniture the arrangement shown at 14:57 did not consider a workstation.

This micro-apartment measures 2.7 meters wide. I don't think you would be able to have an armchair and a coffee table as shown. You may be able to keep the armchair but not the coffee table. Hers are some suggestions: the side where you put the armchair measures 3.7 meters long. With the bed - which is about 90 centimeters wide - where it is, there is still 2.8 meters of empty space. Besides the armchair, why don't you consider a small dining table as well? 😉

The suggestions above are completely my opinions, but they would allow you to have a dining area, living area, workstation, and sleeping area -- all in this 18.83 squared meters micro-apartment. When it comes to dealing with compact space, it is all about utilizing every squared inch and meeting the user's priorities.

The rent -- $435 USD per month -- is very reasonable. Besides, another nice thing about this apartment is that, there is space, a metal fence, and lots greeneries between it and the neighboring buildings. That ensure proper privacy. I will recommend renting this apartment.

Thanks for sharing!

I like this one. Room for a bed, chair and TV! All with no nasty loft! And on ground floor. Yay!!!! 🥰

I LOVE this apartment! Having all the green plants outside the windows, instead of seeing just the wall of another building, is awesome!! The safety shutters are nice too, and so is the closet, and having space for a fridge, and the bathtub being separate from the toilet WITH a dryer and hanging rod for laundry. And the price is good, if you don't mind the longer commute. What a perfect little apartment!

This is one of the better micro apartments you have shown, Usui. I notice that there seem to be more sensible ones on the market now, with realistic storage options and room for things like a washer and a fridge accounted for. I love the seperate bathing area with a tub. This one does seem to be quite private and that's lovely.

Nice apartment. Everything is functional and logically laid out. I think 15sqm to 20sqm is the sweet spot for microapartments. Anything bigger and it's no longer a microapartment, and anything smaller you have to make too many compromises.
