I bought a mini Panasonic hifi - and this album - with my wife, Pippy, in 1993. We were newly married and in our first house together - la vie en rose, indeed!
We took hifi and cd home, set them up and tried them out, and La Vie En Rose became our "test song" whenever we moved house or bought some new speaker or phone or whatever. The hifi is still going fine (and takes the t.v. sound).

Pippy died in 2019.

So here I sit with a brand new iMac, setting it up and trying it out, playing a song loaded with memories - new houses, new cars, the births of our children, parties, holidays, silly dancing, grooving to the guitar rhythm of La Vie en Rose.
