(Kind of) Massive Japan Haul: High-end + Drugstore Makeup & Skincare

Hi everyone, thanks for tuning in! Today I'm sharing what I bought in Japan in terms of makeup & skincare.. of course I bought lots of other stuff too like clothes, stationery etc haha (let me know if you want to see that!).

Also, I'll be giving away a curated goody bag of Japanese makeup/skincare that I bought while I was over there - a mixture of things I've used & enjoyed in the past and things that were recommended to me. YASSS I have been waiting for this video and I'm so excited to see your new Suqqu stuff - Fukakaede and Ryoukosumosu are just sooo pretty, they feel very fun. But yeah, they do need mattes. It's sad to see no mattes. Those addiction palettes actually took my breath away looking at them! Their packaging is so beautiful and the colour story of Last Emperor and Rain are amazing, but what a shame they suck! Damn. I'm such a doof, because I'm thinking how cute Joey looks with your snaps in the Hakuhodo store. He looks like he wants to buy brushes too 😆

I CANNOT WAIT for your detailed review of your new brushes. I hope you enjoy them. Please don't feel guilty about needing expensive eye brushes. First of all, it's your money. Second, you do a lot of detailed eye work EVERYDAY which requires a lot of blending. The skin on our eyelids are notoriously thin, so buying extremely soft eyebrushes is just you being responsible enough to take care of that area. My most expensive brushes are for the cheek and contour area because my skin is really thin and sensitive there. I've given Real Techniques a shot but I really find them abrasive on my cheeks. I LOVE the Hada Labo Premium, so glad you love it too! <3<3<3

I would love to see you post a video about traveling. Such as suggestions on places to go in Japan. Where to stay, where to eat and stuff like that. I want to go to Japan for my husband and I's 10 year wedding anniversary in May.

The Saborino masks are day time masks! Supposedly they're all in one (toner + moisturizer + primer) but mostly I find them just to be quick in the morning (2-5 min) and cooling. Also the texture of whatever's left on your skin after the mask goes surprisingly well under sunscreen and makeup so maybe there's something to be said about the primer there lol. There's a strong fragrance though and the cooling/menthol-y effect is quite strong so it's probably not the greatest for sensitive skin.

If you're looking for another liquid eyeshadow, I've heard good things about the Sparkling Eye Gloss from Sweets Sweets! Other products you might enjoy are the Lip Tints from Opera and the eyeshadow quads (either Real Clothes Shadow or Skinny Rich Shadow) from Excel. All of those are drugstore brands but the products are very high quality!

The Chanel Ombré Premiere cream shadows are gorgeous with phenomenal color pay off and staying power, even on oily lids. They are all shimmers and quite pricey but I find them worth it. Love all your eye looks by the way. You’re beautiful. Cool channel.

Ahh you mentioned isetan, that was probably my moms and my fave place in Tokyo - mostly for their depachika. Had some amazing bentos and okonomiyaki there. Also the best coffee from their coffee stand on the 3rd floor if I remember correctly? Expensive but lovely.

This was so fun to watch! Japan is such a fun place to eat and shop... and to be inspired. Such artistry there. I would try to salvage some enjoyment from the disappointing Addiction quads by displaying the one with special cover somewhere and using the color stories in the others as inspiration for looks using shadows from your stash. You were positively restrained at the Haku store. I just ordered a few from them recently. I also just ordered the Wayne Goss airbrush & Chikuhodo Passion 4 brush after watching some of your videos!

wow this is the mother of all hauls hahaha! Those Addiction palettes look amazing, such a disappointment :( I have Japan on my travel list, but it's probably not happening any time soon. I'm so drawn to Suqqu now because of you, i love their colour combo's they do in their palettes. They have the palettes you hauled on Selfridges, i think my 1st purchase will be a palette and a blush.
