I made the decision to buy a Fender Tonemaster Pro over the obvious rivals as I thought I'd rather go for a product at the start of its product life cycle than those at the end of their hardware life cycle.

The GUI simplicity was a key factor for me too.

At first, I have to say I wasn't particularly impressed by the presets at all.

However, the recent firmware updates and new features have been game changing. The IRs and SICs have made the tonal realism leap tenfold and the recent models for the JCM, Orange and Soldano have been awesome.

I really feel that the TM Pro is starting to really come into it's own now after a cautious start, but hey....remember when Apple launched the first iPhone that had no 3g?

Yes! Finally I can actually use my TMP live (without pesky workarounds in all my acoustic and electric presets with vocal paths, too), thanks to finally being able to mute ONLY the guitar, and still be able to talk to the audience. Thanks to Fender for listening! Now we need an option to automatically switch off the vocal reverb when tuning and talking.

When I bought my TMP I knew I was taking a gamble on Fender supporting their product, but they have delivered! I think it's safe now for anyone that was holding out to see how the product is supported to pull the trigger on buying one.

Anyone else have their presets muted after switching? I noticed that the ones with volume pedals are the ones that are muted once switched to. They wont make a sound unless i move your volume pedal first

Hi Doug! Great information for TMP owners. I really appreciate the videos you're doing on the TMP! I have a question that is totally unrelated but I'm not finding an answer so far and maybe you can enlighten me. In my modelers I run 2 separate signal paths, one for normal mag pickups, and one for the piezo pickup in my guitars, to allow me to cover acoustic sounds and not have to switch guitars.
I found a few presets in the "Tonemaster Cloud" but they use the instrument input.I was trying to change the input source in the preset form Instrument to Mic/Line. All I want to change is the input jack for the "Acoustic chain. The only way I see is to change the routing, but that wipes out all the blocks. Is there another way to change only the input jack used in a given preset?

Hello, I, really much appreciate you do a video how to build a song list …by example I tried with free live preset and I wanted to do a rhythm section and a solo section ; when I have « verse free live » for the rhythm I tried to by pass « boost » and « delay » but each time I tried on « solo live free » it bypassed the two equally and when I reactivatevthem only in the solo section, when, I go back to « verse live free) the two, are reactivate also…I thought we could do what I told more easily, ITV’s not intuitive and don’t know how to do, thanks

The firmware update process is needlessly complicated.

Why not let us download and install the firmware through the app? My Apple computer doesn’t even have a USB port, so I need a bus to connect it etc.
