Blue Eye Albania | Family Day Trip to Syri i Kaltër Nature Park

Показать описание
As part of our two-week road trip across Albania, we took a relaxing day trip to the Blue Eye Natural Park (Syri i Kaltër) — one of southern Albania’s most fascinating natural wonders.
Located about 30 minutes from Sarandë, this vibrant turquoise spring is famous for its deep, crystal-clear water that appears to bubble from the earth. It's a short, easy walk from the entrance to the Blue Eye itself — and it makes for a perfect half-day trip with kids.
We recommend bringing along a picnic lunch, taking your time, and really enjoying the beautiful forested paths and riverside spots throughout the park. For those looking to stretch their legs, there’s a longer loop trail around the nearby lake that offers peaceful views and a bit more adventure.
The entrance fee is very affordable, the area is well-maintained, and it’s a great way to spend time outdoors as a family while exploring Albania’s natural beauty.

🇦🇱 Travel Tips: Blue Eye Natural Park (Syri i Kaltër)
1. Entrance fee is just a few Albanian lek per person — bring cash. There's also a small fee for parking.
2. The walk to the spring is short and flat, great for all ages. But you do have the option of a tourist train or electric scooter instead (for a fee).
3. Swimming is no longer allowed at the spring itself, but the views are stunning.
4. Bring sturdy shoes and water if you plan to do the longer trail around the lake.
5. Pack a picnic — there are picnic tables and quiet spots throughout the park.
