This USED to be a sweet car. I immediately knew it was repainted! One glance, which made me say Deal Breaker. Also, Red cars had red interior. I want to buy an original 77 but not if someone doesn’t know they used imeron paint which glowed and Chevy’s red was candy apple I believe. If you restore a Vette, purists will feel as I felt, sick, when they see a matching #’s Vette literally destroyed. By the wrong color paint. Any previous Vette owner can spot the correct colors immediately. That ain’t even close! Why didn’t Y’all restore the interior properly? Red on Red. Yellow on Yellow, Virtually All the 77’s to 82 had that matching color scheme. Some were custom but that imeron paint may have been slightly radioactive the way the midnight blue looked purple at night. They are History. And whomever “restored” this car, didn’t. It’s destroyed for anyone who knows what they want. I wouldn’t settle for a good looking one if it’s not correct. Why keep it matching #’s if you can’t match the 77 paint and interior? Good question. If you have some red or midnight blue. 1977 with the luggage rack still on, all original rims and wheel caps with locks, the key in the side of the fender for the alarm, the red on red leather, tightly fitted still, the dashes start to squeak and rattle, and original markings everywhere, the engine and manual transmission should be original parts. Matching #’s is best. But I’m 50. I know what they sell for across the country. So please, if you have either a red or a midnight blue with reasonable milage let me know!
