K-pop is all about aesthetics but focus less on vocal. She has to step up the game if she wants to break into global music scene Solo.

I'm not trying to undermine Lisa here, but when I think of K-pop, her recent releases wouldn't be the first to come to mind. They sound more like pop music than K-pop to me. She should be awarded in a different category other than “Best K-pop”.

Accurate. She may be amazing when put against other Kpop artists. But when put against western artists, she pales in comparison and looks very mediocre. It doesn’t help that her songs aren’t really the best in comparison to a lot of the other performances.

Of course Lisa’s fans liked it. They worship her to the point of fooling themselves into believing she’s a goddess and has zero flaws when it comes to her music, relying on the view count to make their point.

It seems odd how Kpop fans want to use Billboards words as means to justify their idol being “good enough” for whatever lane or antic their idol is attempting to involve themselves in but when those words aren’t positive and reaffirming, suddenly the journalist knows nothing, the magazine means nothing, the entire company knows nothing and they’re all utterly meaningless.

This is entirely common and normal for kpop fans to latch on to what the average normal person says and turn it into their roller coaster of insanity to suit their needs.

The average person can fairly pick out the good and bad in a performers (which is simply what Lisa actually is) work and state objectively whether it was decent without tying that down to a conclusion of disdain towards the person.

The average loud kpop fan isn’t able to do so and assumes that others doing this means they’re flip flopping in a bid to please some higher power.

When in reality it’s simply that person pointing out the weak performance the artist had at a certain event.

Billboard has praised Blackpink and Lisa on numerous occasions and to throw their words of criticism out because it doesn’t validate your views is hypocritical and ironic.

You either think Billboard has some validity to their views and thus Lisa’s praise was actually worth it or you don’t and thus it’s meaningless and proves nothing.

You can’t have it both ways.

You can’t demand validity and attention but when it’s given pretend as if it was never wanted.

Fans need to realize that not everyone is obsessed with lisa and not everyone will like her projects. To be honest rockstar is not even good, i feel like most of people are just hyping it up because it's Lisa, choreography is also not good, new woman is okay. There were a lot of legendary artist that Lisa can’t compete with (especially with rockstar that lasts less than 3min and is just repeating two lyrics). Also don’t get me wrong, I like Lisa she was my first bias ever

I'm a fan of Sabrina Carpenter but even I think her stage is one of the best, like she literally has the best choreo out of all performance and she also sang live. It's just a personal ranking, not all people view her performance as "underwhelming" like the said billboard critic. Idk when you guys gave credibility to rankings as such when we all are always aware it is almost likely to be biased. Anyways, i really enjoyed her stage, I should probably check her discography.

I don't know if that was because of her songs or if she just failed to hype up the stage. Her performance feels a bit too ordinary for me, and her stage presence also didn't help at all. If she performed with better songs, I think it would help her.

In the western, they sing live albeit maybe have auto-tune but never never lip sync. Kpop artist need to learn doing live a lot. Lisa performance is bad.
