How to remote start 2017 Kia Sorento with Smart Key

If you have factory OEM remote start installed on your Kia (mine is 2017 Sorento), you don't need the stupid little extra FOB. I do not know if this works for other model Kia's. Try it out though, it might be worth your time. Its not published in the Kia manual, but it is in the Remote Start manual.

This guy has a different key than I do. The separate key fob remote starter is worthless and doesn't work, not correctly anyway and the horn goes off every time you try to use it. My wife and I will just start the vehicle the normal way and not worry about the little fob. This is the one fatal flaw for Kia is that the company doesn't know how to make those things correctly but everything else works great. They just need to stop making the separate key fobs.
