I had to run a lot when I was younger. Before any of my friends and I could drive. There's a big group of people that always hung at the river and raced around really nice cars. They were notorious for getting bored and riding around at night 3 trucks deep filled with people. If they seen us they'd try to chase us down. A few of my friends were freaking idiots and the reason they did this. The friends would taunt them and flip them off. So naturally I became guilty by association and they learned my face quick. I was usually a loner and walked around by myself though. One night they seen me walked and I got 4 blocks down before a truck pulled out in front of me. They grabbed my hands and drove the truck and dragged me on the road for about 3 blocks. My back still has all the scars

I didn’t necessarily have to run but I power walked my ass off. I was bout 14 and had started my first job at this day care with pre schoolers in a Mexican neighborhood. I had been there at this point bout 3 weeks so some of the Mexicans became familiar with me… except for one of em. I had just got off work and was walking to the bus stop when all I hear from across the street is “AY ESE… WHERE YOU FROM HOMES” I turn and see this big burly ass Mexican in a wife beater walking my way and the fear shot straight through my body cuz I also noticed there were 5 other Mexicans sittin on the porch. But one of them saved me cuz he goes “Ay ay no ese leave em alone man he works with the kids at the day care. He’s good man he’s good”. The big burly bastard then turns around and is “Aw ok man. You good then ese”. I think that was the fastest I ever walked in my life.
