How to Download and Install Mods Minecraft | 2024 (Full Guide)

Here is my 2024 version of how to mod minecraft tutorial!

Before we begin, please keep in mind:
- Your PC is up-to date
- Your drivers are up-to-date
- Research if your PC can handle mods
- This tutorial is a step-by-step process. Nothing is left out. Don't skip steps
- This tutorial is for Windows 10 PCs + Java edition Minecraft. You cannot mod bedrock edition
- This tutorial is not for cracked accounts
- If you are making a custom modpack, add mods SLOWLY to your mods folder. This is so you know what mods are incompatible with one another.

I did everything, play read the description but whenever I try to open Minecraft with forge it just crashes and gives me the Minecraft exit code 1, is there anything I can do to fix this?

i did every step right, the mod files are in the mods folder and it even shows it in minecraft but before i go in the game, the little forge tab is saying that it might not support the latest player safety features, therefore i cant see the mods in my world, any advice?

Hi! Thank you for making this video it actually helped me so much but i have one question:
In my mods folder (after i searched up the %appdata%) there were already some mods in there. However those mods were for a different model of Minecraft (1.12.1) and the one im downloading is for (1.20.1). Is that normal? Should i create a new mods folder?

when i download a mod, why does it make it a winrar file instead of a .jar file?
