As a nurse I make sure my end of life wishes are extremely clear, in writing and my family knows about them.

My dad was a cop. My grandma was an ER nurse. I will never ride a motorcycle.

As a database admin, I wouldn't send an email without rereading it 99 times and making sure the correct person is selected.

the one that stuck with me from a different vid like this was "as a nurse, I wouldn't put my legs up on the dash in a car".. ugh, gruesome

For anyone who had trouble understanding the last nurse: They said, "As an ED nurse, I would never approach an unfamiliar animal."

I had to take my 3 year old son the the ER at 3am with a severe ear infection and a 104 temp. An emergency came in with a woman from a car accident. She had one of those clips stuck in the back of her head. She was a nurse at another hospital.

As a nurse, I would never be barefoot on the beach or in the water, wear swimshoes.

I will never dive head first into water unless it’s a deep pool. I’ve seen way too many sand bar horror stories.

As a vet assistant (soon to be veterinary technician) at a 24/7/365 emergency clinic I will always cringe when I see people driving with their windows down and their dog not strapped in.

We had a small dog come in because a larger dog jumped out of a moving car and attacked the small dog who was just enjoying a walk.

As an ED/Trauma ICU nurse married to a Police Officer…I would:
1. Never Not wear a seatbelt
2. All children will be in an approved car seat
3. Always drive defensively after a 12-14 hour shift 3 days in a row or at anytime
4. NEVER take illicit substances or someone else’s prescription!
5. NEVER drink and drive or be a passenger with an impaired driver
I’m ALWAYS the designated driver (I hate tasting alcohol of any kind)
6. Take unnecessary risks with my life or others
7. If I am pulled over by the Police, COOPERATE!
8. When walking ALWAYS be aware of your surroundings. If being mugged, just give up your purse or car. Better than winding up dead.
9. Watch out online for predators, scammers, or be VERY WARY of on line dating sites.
10. If someone try’s to get you in their car, NEVER let them take you to a secondary location.
Also, follow my fellow nurses advice above and TRUST YOUR GUT!
Stay safe out there and ALWAYS make the better choices!

As an ICU RN and ARNP, I would never have Botox. If placed around the eyes, particularly at corners, it can cause GLAUCOMA.
