Today, Br. Douglas is with us to tell us about Venerable Mother Henriette Delille, S.S.F
She founded the Sisters of the Holy Family in New Orleans. New Orleans have deep roots in Catholicism in the African American community.
Henriette Delille has a very interesting story. She was a social worker who worked in New Orleans as a free women of color.
She could have gotten to a high status but she choose to serve the poor and need - especially teaching girls and care for the elderly and infirmed.
Her work attracted others. Her story shows us that our lives need to be lived in a way that we attract others to Jesus.
