Best VALUE diamond sharpening stone⬇️

A CHEAP $20 diamond stone (you don’t need this is you buy the value stone)⬇️

Ceramic splash and go stones I LOVE⬇️

MY FAVORITE OF ALL TIME BUT VERY EXPENSIVE⬇️ (get these for super steels)
Get the 400 and 1200. Don’t buy a coarser one, a cheap diamond will work better for profiling.

A more PRESUMER fixed angle system I recommend⬇️

Strop compound (I recommend anywhere from 1-6 micron. 1 micron if using a 3k+ stone, and 3-6 If using a 400-3k stone.⬇️

I was a complete sharpening newb when I got this system. I'm still a complete newb, but all of my knives are now really sharp. It's pretty close to newb-proof.

I have this one with the additional sharpening stones, goes from 220-800, and with the ceramic and a strop. For $108 all in it really cant be beat. Theres also a lot of after market pieces you can get for cheap to make it more stable and more apt for larger knives. Worksharp has made some really great products that people can afford.

A few aftermarket accessories really improves the results of this system. The two biggest ones are a brace for under the clamp (lots of places sell these or you can make your own) and an aftermarket stone holder which allowed you to use any type of stones you want in the 4" range, also wider ones as well (I had a set of Venev grater dog stones, 1.5" wide, already it's why I bought the aftermarket stone adapter when I recieved this as a gift from a family member). (There is also a 6" stone adapter and extended clamp set but it's harder to find and increases the price quite a bit). Worksharp also sells replacement Diamond plates you can buy as a set with a holder (upgrade kit) or replace the diamond metal plate on the holder entirely (plates are just adhesive backed) so you could replace the 360 grit with a lower one if you wanted to. The replacement plates are very affordable as well around $8 a piece I believe. It's a good system for the price though for people who want basic sharp edges on pocket knives. Thanks for the great vid and keep making sharp things fun and enjoyable 5:50

Got one. It sharpens knives. I have time. I sharpen once a month a knife here and there. I don't need more. It works. It's excellent. It's good value. 😊

Alex I tried the worksharp system and made a few mods to the system to try and make it more “sturdy” and less loose/flexible when used which made it a bit better but the lack of stones that come with this setup was lacking and when you go to buy other diamond stones you are stuck with what worksharp offers which are proprietary. I ordered the Xarilk Portable fixed angle sharpener $64 minus 10% coupon (~$57.50) and tested it next to the worksharp and I returned the worksharp and still have the Xarilk portable system mainly because it is a much more sturdy built all aluminum system, it folds up smaller than the other system, uses the larger generic 1x6 diamond stones that you can get from multiple different companies but the ones from Xarilk work great and are cheaper than worksharp options. It’s a great system and it handles larger kitchen knives much better than the worksharp system which is a big plus. One thing about the Xarilk that could be better is the width of how thick a blade it can handle is less than the worksharp but if you don’t have a big thick bushcraft Ka Bar or Bowie knife you should be fine.

Thanks for sharing! I had this system and really liked it, so I gifted it to my dad. He loves it. Some "professional" sharpening people told me the system is junk because there is too much slop in it, but I have never had an issue.

I bought this system because of this video and I'm over the moon with it. I loved it so much, I bought the upgrade. Very, very worth it

My brother got me one of these for christmas one year and it has repaired plenty of blades over time and my stones are still holding up. I'd recommend it to anyone honestly. And after i got the add on kit, i feel like i can do it all. Im not great at this stuff by any means, but to have people pop up and ask me to touch up, resharpen, or restore their tools or knives definitely makes me come across like im not using this system as a crutch

I've had one for a couple of years, I do use a stone at times too, but this is what I use 90% of the time. I love how simple and easy it is to use.

Always a good day when an Alex video pops up in my feed. So happy to see 3 in about the last week or so. Exciting. I have this system with upgrade but haven’t had time to try it. I hope mine comes out as sharp as yours did. I’m rewatching some of your diamond strop videos too. I really enjoy your channel content. Thanks so much.

Thank you!
Love the build/tactile operation of my K03 pro, and as a professional, it’s really an inexpensive tool and a write-off as well😎

Man is just firing out amazing videos left and right!
I am totally going to check this thing out as I don't trust myself doing it by hand, yet.
Now all I really need is to do some more research on what to buy for stropping!

I have the pro version. I love it, but it's also almost another 200$.
It has, and does everything, you're critical on the non pro version.
Would love to see what you think of it, and a review of it.
