People often act as if mental illness can just disappear. It cant. Perhaps it gets a bit better, and you learn how to live on with it always burdening you, but it never truly goes away. Thats how i personally view this drawing :3

this reminds me of when i told my mother about my brother and sisters, not knowing that they actually existed at one time. i apparently told her that "this isn't real". she asked what wasn't real, and i opened my arms and said "this!". i was 3, and i still find comfort in spirits now. hope ur doing ok :)
