Based on Anne Rice’s revolutionary gothic novel, Anne Rice’s Interview with the Vampire follows Louis de Pointe du Lac (Jacob Anderson), Lestat de Lioncourt (Sam Reid) and Claudia’s (Bailey Bass) epic story of love, blood, and the perils of immortality, as told to journalist Daniel Molloy (Eric Bogosian). Chafing at the limitations of life as a black man in 1900s New Orleans, Louis finds it impossible to resist the rakish Lestat’s offer of the ultimate escape: joining him as his vampire companion. But Louis’s intoxicating new powers come with a violent price, and the introduction of Lestat’s newest fledgling, the child vampire Claudia, soon sets them on a decades-long path of revenge and atonement.

Anne Rice’s Interview with the Vampire will debut on October 2 at 10pm ET/9c on AMC, with the series’ first two episodes available on AMC+ that same night.

Seems a strange choice to call the series "Interview With A Vampire" and not "The Vampire Chronicles". Louis ends up being such a minor character in the scope of the whole book series. It makes me wonder if they are going to create material to follow after Interview instead of following the books. I'd much rather see the book series played out, Anne Rice created such a rich universe to pull from.

They've cast a 19 year old actress to play a character who was FIVE years old in the novel. Oh yes, this is going to be MUCH more faithful to the book than the Pitt/Cruise movie...

If you're going to remake a story...how about remaking the actual story? Changing characters, setting, canon rules and so much that it's only the same in title and character names is so pointless you might as well have just made your own original show. This show *could* have had potential if they'd stuck to the canon and then over different seasons followed the entire chronicles.
