This song was performed during a break in the conference. It was NOT performed as a worship song or intended to be a worship song. It was simply leading into a session in the middle of the day for the delegates.

I didn't hear any bad lyrics to song. Just because it didn't mention jesus doesn't mean it's evil. It's like singing the birthday song... Are we glorifying God? Are we worshipping him with the happy birthday song when sang to birthday person.. No... So relax. Listen to what the song is trying to say.. They did not sing coldplay's other album or songs ... There's a reason why they wanted to share to song...

It's not that it's ignorance, or excess religiousness, it's just that he is performing, in any church, when you lead worship or sing or play up there, you are worshipping, not just up there singing songs

So I if I'm Christian, (and I am a praise leader for my church youth group) all I can do is listen to Christian songs? Coldplay is one of my favorite bands. Reading the comments, it's sad to see a lot of ignorance in Christians, especially in this day and age.

Yeah, I'm brazilian and 2 weeks ago I've been to Hillsong Conference Europe here in Stockholm and they played the same song... I believe in that as well: we shouldn't mix things up because it doesn't glorify God. I'm also disappointed but I will keep on listening to Hillsong because it's a blessing, I just didn't expect that.

Why are you people complaining about them playing freaking non-christian music!?!? Who cares, so it's bad if a non-christian likes Hillsong? NO! Same with a Christian band playing a regular freaking song, be quiet man. If God does.n't approve of this then screw it, they're musicians and they have to listen to all types of music and play all types of music

Just because the song wasn't for a worship session, doesn't mean it wasn't used for the good. Worship is more than singing and raising hands. It is a way of life. It is offering every aspect of one's life to God. Hillsong obviously did not mean any harm by using this song. It was a Christian way of doing a Christian production in a Christian gathering. So stop being closed-minded about it.

I don't think there is something wrong with singing other secular songs, as long as something doesn't take the place of God, there is nothing wrong with it. Is as saying that watching a movie is wrong, you might sing, and not really be into it... So, I just say, you shouldn't judge, if you really don't know people's hearts. You should never judge if you're a sinner too (we are all sinners, so no one can judge someone else). Matthew 7:1-6

Hillsong y coldplay, un hermosa combinación, coldplay es una grupo secular pero tiene unas canciones muy motivaciónales, sin maldad, no hay desnudos, ni cantan sobre sexo ni drogas, sus canciones son sobre amor y la vida, son talento puro! No sé porque se escandalizan! Aparte de que es una de las bandas que mas ayudan a los que necesitan.

No sé que habló antes o después de cantar Paradise. El mensaje de la canción no es mala, tiene un mensaje de supervivencia, lucha y esperanza en un mundo mejor paraíso. Quizá solo los que estuvieron ahí entienden el por qué hicieron un cover tan perfecto e idéntico al original ahí, es raro que en la iglesia se cante música no cristiana. El lugar donde se reúne la iglesia de Cristo no es un escenario para hacer shows, sino un lugar para adorarle y usar nuestros dones en la edificación del cuerpo.

well there's lots of singers that aren't christians but they are composing music talking about God. And Some Times better than many worship songs. What that mean?  Don't make any difference if you are listening a HillSong's worship or listening coldplay singing paradise. What make diference is your heart understanding the music. Jesus was inside the world to change then he was not in a palace pointing his finger over the world saying "That's terrible". 

People are too concerned about  self salvation and don't do nothing about the "World"that is lost.

Só sei de uma coisa, pelos frutos se conhece a árvore! Só queria dizer que as pessoas que estão julgando o Jad só pq ele cantou a tal música secular, o que vcs têm feito pelo reino de Deus? Quantas almas vcs já ganharam pra Cristo? É, pq vir aqui criticar e falar mal é fácil, difícil é sair por aí e ganhar tantas almas pra Jesus como o Hillsong tem feito. Hillsong é um ministério muito usado por Deus, e tem ganhado muitos jovens pra Cristo em vários cantos do planeta. Como não sentir a presença de Deus em canções como All I need is you, Mighty to save, From the inside out, The stand. Eu não estou falando aqui de ir simplesmente a um show ou coisa assim, estou falando de vc chegar em cansado, triste, amargurado e ser totalmente envolvido pela presença do Espírito Santo ao ouvir canções como essas.
