Can you change your hair type??

I used to have straight hair but once I hit puberty it got extremely curly and I get accused of having a perm all the time, but puberty can most definitely change your hair type

Very true, my hair when I don’t use shampoo but only use cold water makes it more curly than wavy

This is very true. I didn’t take care of my hair that much when I was younger and the start of high school because of sports but senior year I decided to shave my head completely bald with a razor and regrow my hair back because I dyed it and it came out looking horribleso after my hair grew back, I constantly shampooed it and conditioned my hair, even as a buzz cut and as it got longer, it became wavy and now it’s very tight curls like my dad’s hair and my grandparents and it’s never looking better

as a kid i had straight hair but at around 8th grade my hair just instantly curled up when i was like almost 14 i think

Actually, my hair changed to curly during puberty. this is a real phenomenon where hair changes after pregnancy ir puberty due to hormonal changes that affect the function of genes, meaning someone's curly hair genes can become more active.

My friend also had leukemia and the chemotherapy made her hair change from curly to pin straight, but ig that doesnt count as natural

Your hair can change to curly from straight during puberty it happened to me I grew up always having laser straight hair and times where I grew it out down to my chin but one day during puberty it just started getting wavy then turned to full on curls didn’t change shampoo or anything

My sister had wave-straight hair but then half of it fell out because of stress and came back really curly

Yea when I was a kid I had a bowl cut my whole life, once it got longer I styled it different and it was wavy, now I have tight natural curly hair

this is actually what happened with me. Freshman year in highschool i had straight hair but it was all frizzya nd everywhere, then i learned i had curly hair from my mom and i was just forcing it straight my entire life. I started taking care of it and now people think i have a perm lmfao

I think my way is through puberty that’s how naturally you can get curly hair happened to my sister and my brother
