Classical medieval fantasy, never fails. I'm really interested in this game!

Take this trailer with a HUGE grain of salt. The previous archeage that was shut down, and now no longer available on steam - was a MASSIVE favorite for me for a long time, probably for covering a lot of nichés that i was after at the time. But the game was probably one of the BEST examples I've seen of an excessive pay-to-win model completely killing a game.

Just to name a few examples of the insane P2W content and microtransactions present in the game; a limited currency that was a hard requirement to upgrade your gear. A permanent buff that increased stats and XP gain, Insane, They made progression based on gold and ripped out the different life skills to remove a means to make gold. Which meant you had to buy things on the cash shop. You couldn't even have more than two characters without paying real money for extra character slots. The game was a far cry from the alpha, and gutted from start to finish.

Over the years I have seen many games like this announced and I never see them come to fruition. All of these medieval high fantasy, asian-developed games look amazing every time but I never seem to be able to find out when they release or if they ever release.

I do miss riding around on the airships, decorating houses, hanging out with guildies and exploring the mountains. But I refuse to gamble on upgrading gear or any of that bs again.

This game has town/ housing community system for building and crafting. Let's hope they announce more playable races.

Watching this right after Dragon Age gameplay is like night and day difference

Very happy Archeage is coming back. The original Archeage game ended in the most insane controversy ever which made the national news (in REAL LIFE, one of the players got so angry he took a flight from Jersey to Florida and showed up to the house of another player with a HAMMER and real life violence occurred. This happened during June 2024 and the original Archeage closed down). Now that Archeage is resurrected (and that player is behind bars now) let Archeage reign again!!
