The HP 54600A oscilloscope is a 100MHz bandwidth, two channel, CRT oscilloscope. This one has a problem with the vertical signal. The display is squashed to about half size. Follow along as I replace capacitors and troubleshoot any remaining faults.

I've got exactly the same issue as you, which capacitor did you eventually replace?

I just got an HP 54645a and the encoder for the channel 2 volts/ division is misbehaving. Is there any way to fix it without having to find a whole new keyboard?

Really useful video ! I just acquired a HP 54600A to play with (my first Oscilloscope) and am learning my way around it. How did you get to the self-test functions? Esp the button test screens? that looks really useful! Thanks
