I have to say, relistening to many of Joel’s tune since I started questioning if his attitude about women was plain as day in the lyric of his first commercial hit, went out over the A.M. dial. I heard Alexa Ray Joel sing it and realized that the lyric had originally been fairly anti-feminine. “Don’t try clever conversion, I never want to work that hard” ??? You see with age comes wisdom. With time comes perspective. Father of 3 daughters, I want my money back but, I accept that I can not change you, so the albums, cds long gone, download deleted. Mic drops! Me and my chair are out.
