Marvel head Kevin Feige has teased the addition of new X-Men characters in the lead up to Avengers Secret Wars which will be the dawn of the Mutants in the MCU following Deadpool and Wolverine.

The problem with continuing the Fox X-verse is that, apart from Dafne Keen, most of the cast was underwhelming or is now too old to do much of interest. Even with a better director January Jones should not be Emma. Elliot Page probably doesn't want to play Kitty Pryde. Cyclops, Jean Grey, and Rogue need A-list performances. Storm should have larger than life presence like the Black Panther cast. We're already getting new Fantastic Four actors so I'm optimistic X-Men won't undermine itself for nostalgia.
